dr-oz
Dr. Oz, the affiable health expert of the Oprah show, recently published the book You Being Beautiful in which he offers valuable, well- researched advice for looking, feeling and being beautiful inside and out.

We are happy to report that Dr. Oz’s advice for skin care, summarized below, can be achieved using Sisterra Products.

Step 1: Cleaning: Use gentle, pH balanced soaps and cleansers. Watch out for chemicals -the simplest soaps are the best.

Step 2: Anti-Oxidant Protection: Natural antioxidants are important for protecting your skin against free radical damage. Vitamins A,C and E are valuable antioxidant skin care ingredients.

SISTERRA”S FACE SERUMS ALL CONTAIN NATURAL SOURCES OF VITAMINS A, C and E

Step 3:Hydrate/Moisturize: Use healthy, natural moisturizers with components such as squalane (from olives) and avocado oil instead of oil-based preparations to seal in moisture. It is best to apply products to dampened skin.!

SISTERRA’S FACE SERUMS AND BODY OILS ARE ALL MADE WITH NATURAL PLANT OILS FOR MAXIMUM HYDRATION

Step 4: Exfoliate Often: Exfoliate once a week (or daily if you wear make-up) to remove dead skin cells and stimulate new skin growth. Use a gentle exfoliant that won’t damage the skin.

SISTERRA’S SEA SALT and HONEY FACIAL SCRUB is gentle enough to use every day… and effective!

Put Your Best Face Forward

After the harsh winter months with constant exposure to cold wind and dry heat your skin is in dire need of a little TLC! Get back your youthful glow with two basic skin care treatments – weekly exfoliation and daily moisturizing. Exfoliation simply means gently rubbing off dead skin cells that build up and dull your complexion. Two natural exfoliants are sugar and salt which can be mixed with carrier oils such as safflower oil, almond oil or coconut oil to make a scrub. Apply a small amount of scrub onto wet skin and the crystals will remove the dead skin revealing a layer of fresh, healthy skin!

Now that you have “unearthed” this healthy skin make sure you moisturize daily to keep it nourished and hydrated. Use an all natural moisturizer that contains plant oils high in vitamins A, C and E as well as essential oils that help fight aging, stimulate collagen and firm and tone skin. Avoid products with alcohol, parabens and sulfates all that can cause dryness and irritation.

Check out Sisterra’s Sea Salt and Honey Facial Scrub and our Sugar Body Scrubs available in multiple aromatherapeutic scents for a great treat for your skin!
